The # 1 Reason Businesses FAIL!

In view of the recent lawsuit against Visa and MasterCard, when was the last time you obtained a qualified professional to perform an audit of your merchant account rates and fees to determine your "effective rate" and insure you are not being over charged?
Did you know - -
- ALL customer receipt copies must only reflect the last 4 or 5 digits of the customer's credit card number and that there is a $10,000 fine for each occurrence that is reported?
- More than 80 % of merchant service providers over charge the business owner to accept Rewards Cards AND over 30 % of Visa and MasterCard's have some type of Rewards attached to them?
- Given the right equipment accepting checks can be safer and less expensive than accepting credit cards?
- "Breakage" and "Ticket Lift" on Gift Cards increases profits?

With the amount of confusing and conflicting information business owners are bombarded with, I decided it's more important than ever to enlighten the business owner. In June of 2006 I began writing a monthly newsletter for the purpose of both educating and assisting business owners on the subject of "merchant services". It is my sincere desire to keep you informed as to what merchant services are available and what questions to ask when confronted with confusing or questionable information. With that understanding in mind, you will be able to make intelligent decisions in regards to any service or program offered.
